Andrew Tomkins

Born 1955

I have painted all my life. At age 12, I was able to attend art school, and in later years, I studied at the Julian Ashton Art School for a period of 5 years.

I have exhibited in many Award Exhibitions over the years.

 

I cannot remember a time in my life when I have not constructed art. 

Being the son of a builder and having the influence of art school, the urge to create has been never ending.

 

For most of my life I have also worked as a licensed builder, winning numerous awards for my projects. 

 

Arriving at where I am today; looking at the work produced, it is easy to see the influences received from outside the art world; the materials; the method of execution.
